Machine stops halfway through washing
An intermittent pause may be triggered by water-fill timeouts, heater faults, an unreliable door lock, motor overheating or a control error. Exactly when the stoppage occurs is often more informative than the final code.
We recreate the fault carefully and check what the appliance was trying to do when it stopped. Repairing the affected stage is more effective than changing electronic parts without evidence.
Before the visit: Write down the error code and the cycle stage before resetting the machine.
Hot-water or heating faults
Cold washing despite a hot programme can reflect a failed heater, a thermistor problem or a control issue. An unusually long programme may signal that the machine cannot reach the expected temperature.
Measured temperature and electrical tests determine whether the machine is heating correctly. We do not recommend opening heater terminals or probing live circuits at home.
Before the visit: Mention whether the issue affects all hot programmes or only one.
Cycle takes unusually long
Long wash times can follow water-temperature problems, repeated balancing attempts, slow filling or extra rinse routines triggered by foam. Some eco programmes are intentionally longer, so the selected mode is essential context.
We separate normal programme behaviour from a new time delay and observe the point at which progress slows. A specific diagnosis avoids replacing timers for unrelated fill or heating problems.
Before the visit: Compare the same programme under a similar load, without running an unsafe machine.
