Drum does not turn despite filling
When the machine takes in water but the drum remains motionless, the possible causes include drive belt problems on applicable models, a motor-control fault, a failed capacitor where fitted or a mechanical obstruction.
A technician confirms whether the drum can turn freely with the appliance safely isolated, then tests the relevant drive design. Not every washing machine uses a belt, so the model matters.
Before the visit: Do not try to force the drum while the machine is powered.
Dispenser remains full of powder
Powder sitting in the tray can be caused by low flow, obstructed water jets, damp detergent clumping or an incorrectly seated drawer. The machine may still finish a programme while cleaning poorly.
We compare the water distribution with the installed supply and the selected programme. Drawer hygiene and inlet problems should be excluded before blaming the main control board.
Before the visit: Photograph the dispenser after a cycle if the fault is intermittent.
Intermittent door-lock error
The machine may show a door error even though the door seems shut. Misalignment, worn catches, damaged interlocks and wiring faults can each prevent a cycle from starting.
We inspect the latch movement and interlock response with power safely controlled. Bypassing the device is unsafe because the lock protects against moving parts and hot water.
Before the visit: Do not tape the latch or defeat any door-lock safety mechanism.
