We investigate faults around Waterkloof according to the cycle stage and the way the washer is installed. For example, washer-dryer does not dry properly is a different diagnostic path from door stays locked after washing; one may involve a water or drive component, while the other requires checking how the appliance responds during its operating sequence. The fault patterns below explain the distinctions we look for before recommending work.
Washer-dryer does not dry properly
A combined washer-dryer may wash normally yet fail to dry because of restricted airflow, temperature-sensing problems, load size or condensate management. Its drying system differs from a standard washer.
We confirm whether the appliance is a combined unit and review its drying cycle separately. A drying complaint should not be treated as a washing-motor fault without evidence.
While arranging service: Give the full model number and say whether the wash cycle still works.
Door stays locked after washing
Electronic interlocks normally release only after the control confirms that spinning has stopped and the drum water level is safe. An obstructed drain, failed lock or control issue can delay that release.
We establish whether water is still present before testing the interlock. Pulling the handle hard can break the door assembly and create another repair.
While arranging service: Do not bypass the interlock or pull the handle forcibly.
Tap or hose connection leaks
A leak behind the washing machine may originate at the tap, inlet connector, pressure hose or drain outlet rather than inside the appliance. A small drip can travel along a hose and become visible far from the source.
We distinguish plumbing-side defects from appliance-side defects, test connectors and inspect hose routing. Replacing an internal pump cannot solve a leaking stopcock.
While arranging service: Turn off the water supply if there is active uncontrolled leaking.
Intermittent door-lock error
The machine may show a door error even though the door seems shut. Misalignment, worn catches, damaged interlocks and wiring faults can each prevent a cycle from starting.
We inspect the latch movement and interlock response with power safely controlled. Bypassing the device is unsafe because the lock protects against moving parts and hot water.
While arranging service: Do not tape the latch or defeat any door-lock safety mechanism.
